REVIVAL OF THE LIME INDUSTRY IN HAITI
In 2012, Pierre Léger, supported by his American partners Dennis Barril and Scott Martin, embark on a project to revitalize the lime industry in Haiti.
Frager has committed, through this major project, to offer Haiti 1.5 million lime seedlings per year. Nearly 800,000 seedlings have already been distributed throughout the country since the launch of the project. For Pierre Léger, President of Frager, this program to breathe new life into the lime industry in Haiti will create social peace in the country while contributing to the reforestation of Haiti – a project within the mission of The Frager Foundation.
It is in this context that a Memorandum of Understanding has been recently signed between the Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural Development and Frager for the revival of this industry.
